Electronic Records Specialist, Archives and Information Services Division,
Texas State Library and Archives Commission



Mark J. Myers is the electronic records specialist with the Texas State
Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) and has over 15 years of experience
in electronic records management and digital preservation.  Mark started
with TSLAC in June, 2014, and is working on building a data archive to
preserve and make accessible the electronic records of state government,
beginning with the records of Governor Rick Perry in 2015.

*“Digital Preservation and the development of the Texas Digital Archive at
the Texas State Library and Archives Commission”*



Mark will provide a quick overview of digital preservation in general, and
then discuss how TSLAC is putting together the Texas Digital Archive
beginning with the records from former Texas Governor Rick Perry, and then
our plans for the future.
