I think part of the problem lies with people using their smartphones for replies. they need to make the extra effort to provide at a minimum their name and email address at the same time don't forget to edit out previous messages when posting a reply. (does not apply to CF who is incorrigible). if you're using gmail on your smartphone just untick the "quote text' box.
