OTTAWA, April 28, 2015 /CNW/ - The Competition Bureau today published the
final version of its *Production of Electronically Stored Information*
guidelines on its website*.*
The guidelines set out the Bureau's preferred standard format for receiving
electronically stored information (ESI) in response to both compulsory and
voluntary processes used during the course of an inquiry or investigation
under the *Competition Act*.
The issuance of the guidelines supports the Bureau's *Action Plan on
Transparency*, which aims to promote a more cost-effective, efficient and
responsive agency, while providing Canadians with more opportunities to
learn about the Bureau's work.

"The problems of our economy have occurred not as an outgrowth of
laissez-faire, unbridled competition.
They have occurred under the guidance of federal agencies, and under the
umbrella of federal regulations."
Senator Ted Kennedy, in defending trucking deregulation in 1978.
