Wolf's decision to let Erik Arneson serve as executive director came five
days after Commonwealth Court ruled Wolf overstepped his authority when he
fired Arneson within days of being sworn into office on Jan. 20. Wolf
dismissed Arneson, arguing his last-minute appointment by Republican Gov.
Tom Corbett to the six-year post was not conducive to the democratic
process.
