We do include this in our training presentations.
First we discuss "records" - the general definition: "recorded information
of any kind, in any format, yada, yada, yada..." And we discuss that this
group are materials that could POTENTIALLY be Official Records of the
organization.
Then we define Official Records for our organization, included in this
definition we mention they are subject to our records retention schedule.
We describe, rather than define, I think, non-records, including that they
are not subject to our RRS, and materials out of scope of our definition
of Official Records. And yes, we do list examples of non-records.
