Hi everyone, I was hoping that someone out there can provide a resource(s) for a current challenge. My organization is completing its revised Retention Schedule, and one item that is being addressed is the retention of back up tapes for disaster recovery. My challenge is that I am trying to find some articles, books, and/or research that substantiate the danger in maintaining back up tapes for too long or for purposes other than disaster recovery.

Does anyone know of any good sources that address this topic, especially ones that may be more contemporary (i.e., from the past 2 to 4 years)?

Thanks!!!

- Brett
