The glaring lack of oversight and accountability over the shredding of
government documents — some of which might never be recovered — was
outlined in the stunning 35-page investigative report released jointly by
information and privacy commissioner Jill Clayton and public interest
commissioner Peter Hourihan.

 “There’s a lack of support, there’s a lack of monitoring and there are no
consequences,” said Clayton.
