I would certainly agree with Lee.  I've attended 2 of the legal
pre-conferences, but never the complete conference because the
programming wasn't strong enough to justify the expense.  The one day I
did attend (in Montreal) I had to work really hard to find anything of
interest.  The best session I attended that day was the legal ISG
meeting.

                Did you know that our Legal ISG has the largest
membership of all of ARMA's ISGs?  I just did a quick search in ARMA's
membership database using the ISG field as the search parameter, and, at
1,091 members, Legal is the largest.  The only other ISG that's even
close is the Records Storage/Destruction Facilities ISG with 1,017
members.  Truly, this should buy us some small measure of clout in terms
of educational programming.   Even though we have a sensational two-day
Legal Pre-Conference (that we have to pay extra for), the lack of
ISG-related programming at the main ARMA conference comes up as an issue
every year.   Those of you who are politically motivated should lobby
your regional representatives to take note of this statistic and approve
more programs that are submitted by and/or geared towards those
interested in records management in the legal environment.     

        Just my 2 cents on a Monday afternoon.
