I couldn't agree more with John Phillips on this issue. I have found I am in front of CFOs or Chief Legal Counsel at nearly every sales call. At each of those I have to describe why law firms and accounting firms cannot produce an appropriate retention schedule. I am currently batting 1,000 on this. I think one of the things that gets them is, besides the research is so specialized compared to regular legal research, we create taxonomies (BCS, MCP, UCP . . . whatever) as well as policies and procedures for everything.
