It's been said before and we'll keep on saying it - a record is a record,
regardless of the medium. Content and context are what counts, not whether
it's on paper, film or electronic, or came via fax, snail mail or carrier
pigeon, or was encoded in ASCII, hex or morse.

Here in Oz, there are no rules on how something is to be stored. The only
rule is, under the evidence act, if you've got it you must produce it, and
under Federal Tax Rulings, if the tax office wants your tax records you
must produce them in a form eye readable by a human, in a reasonable time
(hours not days).

The rest is in your hands.

Cheers

Glenn

These views are mine alone. They may or may not be those of any
previous or present employers or clients. I don't know. If I'd asked
and they'd agreed, I would have signed it "Harry Peck and Co and
Glenn". Or whatever. But I haven't, so I didn't.
