Okay, I'll choose NOT.  =)  Given the venue you were in, I'd expect no
less.

I understand at that same venue a highly placed individual representing his
organization also made a comment to the effect of "... the loss of tapes in
the recent past has served to strengthen our business and the business of
this industry..."

So, if that's the perspective of those in attendance and those participating
in the program, I'm sure they see the costs of storage limited to what it
costs for a box to sit on the shelf in a static state as all there is
involved in the process.

It didn't cost anything to get the box there, have it barcoded, pull
contents, return them to the box, generate reports, pull contents at another
time, return them to the box (again), pull the box for permanent removal or
disposition, or anything else during this 9 year ROI period.

But hey... it sounds like a great model/strategy to build one's business
on!   I bet losing boxes would help them grow and strengthen their position
as well... OOOPPS!!!!  It already has... =)
