The City of Austin is currently exploring the possibility of seeking
consulting services for assistance with conducting a risk assessment for
electronic records management issues within the City. I would like to
hear from anyone especially any local governmental entities that have
used consultants for this type of activity. Specifically do you have a
request for a proposal that you would be willing to share, any
experiences you had, pitfalls that you encountered and how much you
spent.
Any assistance or advice would be appreciated. Note: We are only
collecting information not soliciting proposals from any consultant or
vendor as this time. Any vendor/consultant interested in doing business
with the City of Austin would be required to register as a vendor thru
the City's Purchasing web-site found at
http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/purchase/default.htm.
