Records Manager- Central New Jersey
Long Term Temporary Position
Our client located in Central New Jersey has an immediate opening for a Records Manager who will manage and coordinate implementation of their USA R&D Records Management (RM) Program:
Develops expertise in the USA R&D RM program and strategy and assists the business areas with compliance. Exercises sound judgment in interpreting RM policy/ SOPS/ schedules and identifies issues requiring higher resolution. Maintains the records retention schedule. Coordinates and manages the roll-out of face-to-face and computer-based records management training for all R&D staff. Manages the relationship with off-site storage vendor, including monitoring of contractual performance metrics and problem resolution. Manages the R&D laboratory notebook program, including auditing compliance with laboratory notebook SOP, and management of the optical imaging vendor. Configures and administers electronic records management software. Supports RM Governance by assisting the business areas with annual improvement plans, preparing summary reports and updates for management review, and managing the documentation of the program.
Experience/Qualifications:
Baccalaureate Degree in Business, Library Science, Information Management and three (3) to five (5) or more years of experience in records management. Facility with computer systems, including desktop Office applications and administration of records management software. Self starter. Well organized. Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to execute good judgment in interpretation of records management policy, and to escalate issues when necessary. Collaborative, service-oriented style. Certification in Records Management (CRM) a plus.
