Yes, very important to keep in mind that it's best practice.

I've had software proposals stating 'our software complies with ISO15489'.
Well, that means they are off my shortlist straight away, as it shows
they've never read it, or if they have, they haven't understood it. One
software company told me eagerly that they had given their development team
a copy of ISO15489 as the specs for their next release. Best practice
standards can be used in many ways but not for software specs.

Oh, and I still call it 'recordkeeping'.
