I've taken Part 6 twice (passed the second time, after an appeal) the first time was with a proctor and the second at a test facility. My vote is to wait a few test cycles so the bugs can be worked out. I'd wait to take Part 6 in the cycle after either a CRM training seminar or the ARMA seminar sessions at the annual conference. A mentor is also a great tool. Receiving feedback after writing responses to practice questions was extremely helpful.
Lorinda - hang in there and take it again in 2008, maybe after the OCARMA CRM seminar.

Hi,
Stephen might be more "in the know", but from what I have heard, the ICRM
is trying to improve the Part 6 testing, and it might take a couple of test
cycles before the improvements take hold. Otherwise, I agree, take it as
soon as you qualify.
