Michelle, there are a number of taxonomy resources listed on http://plc.fis.utoronto.ca/tgdemo/bibliography.asp <http://plc.fis.utoronto.ca/tgdemo/bibliography.asp>  that might help, although I think most of them are whitepapers and articles. However, Carol Choksy has pointed out in earlier postings to RECMGMT that most of the current resources on taxonomies are subject-based, which is not the preferred approach for records management. 
 
There are a couple of taxonomy articles in the Information Management Journal (one of which is by Carol); you can search for them on the ARMA website and download them for free if you're an ARMA member (non-members pay $10).
