hello, my office uses InMagic CS Textworks to manage its scanned
records. I am not talking Enterprise Content Management -- we are not
there yet as an organization. But other offices in addition to mine
seem to be using InMagic more and more.

Once upon a time, InMagic was cutting edge document management
software but its searchability provides limited functionality today:
no contextual preview of responsive records, and non-Google operators
(a no-no in today's world). It reminds me of library OPACs: again,
these were once cutting edge but today seem...clunky.

Could anyone suggest an economical document management solution for
small scale projects? I am particularly partial to the two features
mentioned above (previews and Google-like search interface). Feel free
to contact me off list if you'd rather not be seen as promoting one
over another.

Thanks,

Kyle
