You may be referring to the ARMA Conference that was in Montreal in 2001 just a month or two after the bombings at The World Trade Center in New York City. I think someone said attendance was down about 60% that year--not sure though of the %. Many companies would not let their employees travel outside of the US at that time even to Canada or Mexico. I figured security would probably be better than ever, so I went to the Conference. In fact, I changed planes in New York going up and coming back. I am glad that I went because Montreal is a beautiful city. I went to the ARMA Canada Conference earlier this year in Winnipeg. The Conference was of very good content and the people were wonderful. Eh?
