H Laurie....Not a Winnipegger but live 90 minutes north of Toronto,
Ontario. Ontario is the province next door to Winterpeg.
I checked MSN weather and the average high in November in Churchill,
Manitoba is 16 degrees F and the average low is 3 degrees F hardly really
cold weather. That said, my kids wear shorts until the snow flies here.
However, being an Aussie you are probably used to much warmer weather.
That weather is not uncommon to Baltimore winter weather, so I would
recommend that you buy your winter gear in Baltimore. That way, when you
get off the plane in Winnipeg (I assume) and travel to Churchill, it will
not kill you.
Not certain what you are expecting in Churchill in November, but I would
hazard to guess that there may not be any snow on the ground yet. Weather
is unpredictable in November...maybe snow and cold...maybe not. Anyways,
have fun.

[RM] OT - Request for advice from Winnipeg MB Canada Residents
Dear fellow listserv members who reside in Winnipeg MB Canada:
I need your assistance and advise as to the names & location of retail
stores where I can purchase cold weather clothing in Winnipeg.
After attending the ARMA event in Baltimore I have booked a trip to
Churchill Manitoba to see the Polar Bears.
I commence my trip on the 3rd November from Winnipeg and arrive a few
days early to rug up for the cold.
I am told my Bermuda shorts, T shirts & thongs will not be appropriate.
Any advice & assistance to locate the suitable clothing providers in
Winnipeg for my Churchill trip will be greatly appreciated.
Regards, Laurie Varendorff
