There are some members of this listserv from the Austin ARMA Chapter who
are undoubtedly familiar with both of the above associations, but I
wonder if others may be.

ISSA - Information Systems Security Association
ISACA - Information Systems and Control Association (essentially IT
auditors)

Has anyone else on this listserv become familiar with either group?
Have any ARMA members or chapters sought either group out for an
educational exchange?

Mary Hilliard from the Austin Chapter of ARMA pioneered this effort, and
just yesterday led a team of 3 speakers to further acquaint members of
both of those associations with the records management issues
surrounding electronic records.  Hopefully, we'll have an opportunity to
move forward in hearing from ISSA and ISACA regarding IT security and
auditing issues.

Most interesting is that both of these groups are associations comprised
primarily of professional members.  It seems that some local partnering
with these groups may be very helpful to all RIM professionals.

Anyway, I'm curious, especially since both of these other Associations
appear to have significant numbers of members, and have a key interest
in many of the same issues.
