Hi, Matthew,
I would suggest joining ARMA International and the Phoenix chapter. Attend
a couple of meetings and get to know the experienced records managers, and
the ICRM Liasion. Explain your background. I'm sure you will find someone
interested in looking over your current experience and seeing what gaps, if
any exist between it and the qualifications to sit for the CRM. Your wait
may be shorter than you think.
By the way, it is only recently that persons with RIM education have been
available for records manager positions. Learning on the job has been the
historical path.
