Once in a while I encounter a customer or two who have a need to acquire
services for records management consulting, since some have not yet
developed the basic policies, programs and procedures necessary to
ensure that they are able to manage their records effectively. This is
one of those times, when one public sector customer has expressed an
interest in acquiring such services....... and will need to issue an
Request for Proposal in order to proceed.

If anyone here on the listserv has what they might consider to be an RFP
that might prove helpful for what I would call basic and initial
consulting services. Where it might lead, I'm not certain. However, I
do anticipate that this public sector organization will want to
establish policies that govern records in all forms....i.e. electronic,
paper, microfilm, etc. and that their concerns will incorporate a broad
range of open records issues, public access and other issues.

Were I pursuing a potential consulting engagement, I'd develop one for
them or continue searching the web, but those services are beyond what
my employer and beyond what I provide.....
