Hi, ARMA Chapter Membership Directors on the listserv, (or people who know
their chapter's Membership Director is not on the listserv),

When postings like: "I am new to this, as well as my position as records
manager for an architectural firm. My position was created to minimize
risk and deal with 40 years of records. Does anyone have experience in
this field?"
pop up, check to see if the poster is in your chapter's vicinity. If the
poster is, and if a RAIN article highlights a local records manager or
archivist, and the person is not a member of your chapter, get their
contact information and inform them about the advantages of joining ARMA
and your chapter. Extend to them an engraved invitation to your next
meeting.

I am told that some people are ARMA members but cannot be found using ARMA
International's "Find a Member" function due to privacy concerns.

But try anyway. In the first case, your chapter will be a supportive
resource. In the second case, your chapter might acquire a high-profile
member.

I hope every Membership Director already does this.

Thanks for reading this,
