SNIA doesn't hide from the fact they are a vendor driven organization,
something I'll give them credit for, unlike some other vendor
organizations I've come across.  And I agree that they are less then
willing to budge from their platform.  But as I told the audience, you
need to consider all of the risks before you follow their model.  You
go down this path at your own peril, so to speak; there is no easy
solution.

Hugh keeps on pounding us to show our value to our organization.  I
see this as a perfect example of where we can do it.  Step up to the
plate and explain to management the consequences of such an approach.
Provide some examples; review PK's RAIN postings as a starting point.

I guess what concerns me most is that I've come across a few so-called
RM consultants that essentially preach the same sermon as the storage
vendors.   Shame on them the most...
