Hello All,

I guess I've broken etiquette by not introducing myself before actually
posting to the community, which I joined a couple of months ago. I
apologize for that.

To get the horse back in front of the cart, I figured I'd give you my
background and interests in the community...

Background: I currently own and run an enterprise called "TraverseIT that
offers very advanced, web-based Data, Information and Knowledge Management
solutions, through a relatively new business paradigm called
"Software-as-a-Service" (a.k.a. SaaS). Before taking over TraverseIT, I
spent many years in the financial industry, where, most recently, I was Head
of Architecture and Software Engineering for the most well known financial
brand in the world. Before my stint on Wall Street, I spent about ten years
in the Semiconductor industry, where my teams and I provided bleeding edge
tools, technologies and services (design, engineering, re-engineering, etc.)
to just about every major and minor chip foundry in the world. My
background, since graduating from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a
B.S.E.E., back in Œ88, has focused on highly distributed management of
transactional and large volume data/information/knowledge.

My Interests in REGMGMT: With the advent of Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 (i.e.
Semantic Web), the world is moving into an age where all content is becoming
manageable and auditable ³records². The lines between trackable and
manageable data, information and knowledge are becoming ³blurred²,
especially as single systems are starting to collapse and fully integrate
operational domains that used to require completely separate systems,
processes and people to manage them. Since TraverseITıs goals and
specializations revolve around providing such solutions, Iım very
interesting in learning, from this community, what the expectations and
requirements are for solid Records Management (especially as they pertain to
a modern, semantic web-driven world), so that we might effectively implement
such requirements in our own platform, for our customer base.

Anyhow, itıs my pleasure to meet all of you and I certainly look forward to
learning from and exchanging knowledge with you. In the mean time, please
always feel free to connect with me, offline, if you feel I can help you in
any way.

My Very Best,

Frank
