Hi and welcome to the list.
One of my responsibilities as a RIM professional is to manage a small
in-house print facility. For large hole punching we use a drill press.
The one we have is a single punch, Challenge drill press where you move
the stock along at certain stops for each hole. It drills up to 3 inches
of paper at a time and a foot step pushes the drill through the paper. I
do know that there are punches which do all three holes at the same time,
but these tend to get expensive and require a bit more maintenance. On
occasion you either have to sharpen the drill or replace it. The drill is
hollow and the paper propels itself up through the centre of the bit. It
is a workhorse and seldom lets us down.
For copying, our new machines have three hole punching available which has
helped when copying many documents.

[RM] Electric Hole Punch
I am a new subscriber and?am looking for?recommendations for an electric
hole punch.? Currently we use small punches that can handle only 24
pages.? We have one electric punch?that can?punch 160 pages, but we are
unhappy with it (it jams, the bits need to be replaced often).? Does
anyone use a large electric hole punch (150 to 200 pages) that they are
satisfied with? ?Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jerry
