This 5:1 cost differential has been my recent experience as well for
storage space only - not necessarily in CRCs. Used to be 10:1. Which is
why, IMHO, the biggest cost savings in use of off-site storage today is
in the value added by a quality accessioning/de-accessioning process,
and the control that provides over the items stored, not necessarily in
the actual storage cost. But Larry already said that.
