I just recently passed this part a few weeks ago and I can tell you that
really the best way to study for part 1 is to have overall management
experience, but buying a management book is also a plus.  

Another thing I did that helped me was to google the items from the outline.
It helped me pass, so it should help you.  Good luck.

Subject: Which management book do you recommend for Part 1 of CRM exams?

I am looking at the bibliography provided by ICRM. I wonder which management
book is a must-have as the Robet/Brown/Stephens book - Information and
Records Management?
