Additional Information

Purpose of position: Assist System Administration departments on the
proper management of electronic information and electronic records in
conformance with records retention and internal policies and procedures.


 

Essential functions: Assist with the design, implementation, and
administration of applications for the management of electronic
information including document management systems and shared document
storage repositories. Analyze current and future department technology
needs and recommend new applications and/or business processes related
to the management, storage, and disposal of electronic records and
electronic information. Provide customer service to departments by
responding to questions and hardware/software problems related to the
management of electronic information or departmental processes related
to existing document management. Train departmental staff on
applications, business processes, and use of technology as related to
the management of electronic information. Prepare documentation and
assist in records management program implementation. 

 

Marginal/Incidental functions Other related functions as assigned. 

 

Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in
systems design, analysis, and programming OR high school diploma/GED and
five years of such experience. Experience in electronic records
management. 

 

Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree and experience with records
management, administration, or experience using document management
applications (like Filenet or Worksite) and storage taxonomies. 

 

Working conditions: Exposure to standard office conditions. Repetitive
use of a keyboard at a workstation. Use of manual dexterity. Security
Sensitive; criminal background check conducted. 

Security sensitive; conviction verification conducted on applicant
selected.

 

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of
Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week
and at least 135 days in length.
