Topic: Bypassing the Best Laid Plans - How they Steal Proprietary

Presented by Detective Robert (Randy) Stone, Wichita Police Department
The presentation will touch on the role of the Forensic Computer
Crime Unit in high tech crime investigation and discuss current and
emerging threats and attack vectors to steal intellectual property.
Discussion topics will include laptop security, encryption, wireless
network security and techniques used by criminals to defeat
investigative efforts.
Detective Stone has been a member of the Wichita Police
Department for 20 years and is currently assigned to the Forensic
Computer Crime Unit. He has been working in the area of high tech crime
investigation for 11 years. Other assignments have included undercover
narcotics, DEA Task Force, patrol, Honor Guard and SWAT. He operates as
part of an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force based out of the
Exploited and Missing Child Unit.
In addition, voting for chapter officers will be held prior to
the presentation - chapter members must be present to vote.
