 The term records management is about the only terminology not "muddied" by IT, so I would use it in the original intent which includes all active business records. I my opinion this means unique records and documents, including non records and electronic or digital media, that are at risk of loss because there are not multiple published copies. I would not move too far from the original historical understanding of records managment.
