I'm been asked to look into individually numbering policies and procedures
within a department. The "vision" consists of a two digit alpha code to
indicate the originating department of the policy (e.g. "HR"), followed by a 4
digit policy number and then a two digit version number.
The full code would resemble: HR-0001-01
I'm curious as to benefits/risks associated with imlpementing a system like this.
Does anyone out there have this? Could you share some information about
your system?
