We use a wireless handheld from Laser Lite: 
http://www.comdirections.com/fats/LaserLite%20Information.htm 
 
We download the data via a cradle and it interacts directly with our RM
software (Stellent, which is now owned by Oracle). Easy to use but if
the barcode on the box label is  too thick or dark it can't always read
it.
