When I think of the values of our profession, I think of Al as an embodiment of them.  He taught us all very much about how to conduct our business and was worthy of emulation.

On a personal level - he was articulate, well travelled and interested in others.  From my conversations with him, I knew of his love for his family, his faith and his enjoyment of city living.

I will miss him - and his passing should remind us all to acknowledge the importance of others to them while they are here to receive the information.
