Program:Records managers have every right to be skeptical about yet another
system, especially when so many SharePoint implementations create more problems
than they solve. Previous iterations of SharePoint only scratched the surface of
transparency and accountability, and the records management feature was woefully
inadequate. With SharePoint 2010, however, new and upgraded features make
SharePoint a viable tool. Discussion points:

	* SharePoint the ultimate common ground or battleground between IT & Records
Managers?

	* SharePoint 2010 you got it, now what?
	* Will SharePoint 2010 solve all Transparency, Accountability, Privacy &
Records Management problems?
Speaker:Chris Beasley has managed a number of SharePoint projects in private
industry as well as government. As COO of Edge Digital Group, he provides the
training and collaboration tools people actually use. His career path has gone
from multiple media to multimedia, then interactive media, new media, and
e-media. He is currently stuck at Web 2.0. He is a problem-solver and idea
generator who likes to view situations from the end customer's perspective.
Chris is known for his infuriating use of the Socratic method and a wit so dry,
people think it's a mirage. Edge Digital Group's clients include the Internal
Revenue Service, USMC, Veterans Administration, NSF, and many other fine
organizations. Chris is a member of AIIM, the Training Officers Consortium, and
the American Society for Training and Development. Chris has more than 15 years
of professional information technology and project management experience,
working with both private-sector and government-sector clients. As Chief
Operating Officer, Chris is responsible for project planning, technical
strategy, c onsulting, and project performance. He has managed projects as
varied as websites, distributed applications, intranet portals, relational
databases, and interactive training programs. Chris has proficiencies in
strategic planning, project management, quality assurance, and creative problem
solving. He speaks and blogs on technology and government on a regular basis.
