I'll chime in here. My job title is "Junior Librarian". My job is about
80% records management and 20% library management.

And a quick intro from a lurker:

I am one of those MLIS students who went from undergrad to masters,
working all the while. I was transitioned from pure librarianship to
records because there was a need, with no special training, aside from a
useful subject background (biology, ornitholgoy, environment,
conservation)and an MLIS in which I took anything cataloguing and
special libraries. I did (and continue to do) a lot of reading and
networking. It's been a fun ride and continues to get more interesting
as librarians are asked to take on more records management in their
organizations. Or at least it seems so, based on how many of my peers
ended up managing records.

The question is...are you sure you are getting all the jobs that an
entry-level information manager might successfully apply for by
restricting your search to just "certified records manager?"
