Greetings Colleges,
My company will be implementing SharePoint in late summer. I am currently performing a back-conversion of our historical and current documents. We are scanning these documents to our network drive with no indexing, only the number assigned to the resulting PDFs. I was told that indexing these documents is not necessary as these documents will be indexed during the upload into SharePoint. Can anyone share their experiences with how they performed the back-conversion and uploading this data into SharePoint? Will indexing be a manual process or does SharePoint some capture the attributes of the document to create the metadata?
Any feed-back will be greatly appreciated.
