Platte River Power Authority is currently seeking to fill a Records
Clerk position.  See job announcement below. 

 

Job Overview:

Assists the Records Manager in general records duties and in accordance
to best records management practices and retention requirements  and for
the purpose of  supporting  the business, operational and compliance
needs. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:


*        Performs document receipt, coding, logging, and filing on a
daily basis;

*        Searches, retrieves and provides requested documents in support
of customer requests and audits;

*        Creates, applies, and maintains classification schemes,
retention schedules, indices, and metadata standards; 

*        Assists in identifying records ready for destruction and
processes destruction documentation;

*        Transfers inactive records into boxes and processes for
storage; 

*        Conducts inventory of physical records using computer software;


*        Performs data entry and maintains database of record listings
at the file folder and box level; 

*        Creates, analyzes and derives document descriptions for
content, context, and format of records and metadata for filing and
input into ECM (Enterprise Content Management) system;

*        Scans documents and enters index data into ECM; 

*        Plans, organizes, and prioritizes daily work load to meet
established schedule;

*        Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

*        Detail-oriented and accurate with strong organizational,
documentation, and proofreading skills;

*        Proficient in MS applications computer skills and the use
photocopiers, printers, fax and other office equipment;

*        Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality;

*        Ability to comprehend written and verbal communications and
instruction;

*        Self-motivated team player with ability to work independently
when necessary;

*        Good working knowledge of the English language; 

*        Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;

*        Strong customer service and communication skills;

*        Ability to lift boxes up to 30 pounds and work in dirty
conditions and perform the physical, mental, and environmental
requirements of the job's essential functions with or without
accommodations and maintain regular and reliable attendance.  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

*        Two (2) years of college-level course work in records
management, business, archives, library sciences or information
management. An equivalent combination of experience in the field of
content management, records and information management or library
sciences may be substituted for the college education;

*        Knowledge of and/or experience with HP-TRIM or other ECM or
document management system;

*        Experience in data-entry, scanning or imaging with OCR
software.
