this is where the art and customization of Records and Information
Management can look and sound different but meet the same goals. All these
principles and practices are part of the governance structure and the
governance documents may have various names to meet the needs of the
individual organizations - no two organizations use the same terminology.
I've used various governance documents to cover the content of what you
call RIDS; and some organizations use a policy or standard to define and
explain what to do with "copies". That's why I've always enjoyed RIM and
the wide variety of perspectives provided on this RIM Listserv.
