Tom:
The ISO TC that developed the standard must review it every 5 years and determine if it is still applicable.  If they see no reason to update or revise, then it is considered published and current until the next 5 year review.

This standard  is now about 11 years old. ISO says there is no movement afoot to update it. Does anyone know anything different?
