Its doable on an e-reader, though, David. I just finished the 847 page
"LIttle Dorrit" by Charles Dickens on my Kindle. However, I tried to read
his "Bleak House" on line as serialized in the original Harper's Magazine.
To be blunt, I ended up buying the book to finish it. (Harper's, btw, has a
fantastic on line archives dating back to 1852 of everything they have
published - its worth the subscription price alone).
I wouldn't be surprised to see a convergence of the kind of readability
being built into the e-readers, and the business application environment.
