But all kidding aside, this guy is challenging the whole "Why Do You Need a
Degree" issue http://goo.gl/e4fDr and he makes some real solid points,
especially with increasing costs for tuition and books, classes being
removed from curriculum and students having to go extra semesters to meet
prerequisites, class sizes getting larger, and entry level jobs for recently
graduating students getting sucked up by otherwise displaced Baby Boomers.
And there are plenty of examples (albeit exceptional people during times
that may no longer exist) of where it didn't matter http://goo.gl/ACGa2 For
the most part, these people were/are non-conformists to many facets of
society and others shouldn't necessarily be judged by them, but you can't
argue that they DID succeed.
