Thanks Peter....
Just had a chance to review the article and interested in what the company
positions were of the people involved in authorizing the destruction. Who
had the authority to do it?

Email destruction policy revealed in hacking case
NEWS Corporation executives in Britain, facing phone-hacking allegations
against the *News of the World*, ordered the systematic deletion of hundreds
of thousands of emails to keep them from surfacing in lawsuits, records
show.
A 2009 draft of its deletion policy said the practice would eliminate
e-mails that ''could be unhelpful in the context of future litigation''
against the company's News International unit, according to court papers
released by a judge yesterday to Britain's* Daily Telegraph*.
