Special notes:
The anticipated starting salary range is $60,000 - $72,000. Position may be filled at the minimum of the starting range. This position is responsible for overseeing the Bureau of General Services Staff for the Office of the Attorney General. The essential functions of the General Services unit are the maintenance, retention, preservation and disposal of departmental records; procurement of goods and services statewide in a timely manner and at a competitive price; securing professional services via contract pursuant to state law; telecommunications services; procurement and leasing of office space for the department; and print shop and mail room services. Knowledge of the Florida Statutes and Administrative Code for many of these sections is required to insure that each is in compliance. In addition, this position is the agency Leasing Coordinator responsible for the bidding, procurement and facilitation of office relocations statewide. Preference will
 be given for at least 4 years experience with State of Florida real property leases, including but not limited to, development of space requirements, negotiations and correspondence with realtors and lessor’s to procure or maintain leases; and/or 4 years experience with State Purchasing including but not limited to State Contacts, Contractual Services, and general procurement processes utilized by the State of Florida. Strong preference to persons with certification(s) as: Florida Contract Manager, Florida Certified Contract Negotiator, Florida Certified Purchasing Manager, Project Management Professional, National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) membership, Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO), and/or Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification from the Universal Public Purchasing Certification Council (UPPCC). Minimum qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six years of experience in business administration, purchasing, procurement, supply inventory, property management, and/or real property management; three years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. A master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in business or public administration can substitute for one year of the required experience. Professional or non-professional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
