Here is a link to the ARMA Buyers Guide that includes consultants/vendors who offer services in the realm of schedule creation and maintainance.

Subject: Re: [RM] Retention policy creation - consulting firm directory?
To: [log in to unmask]

Hello again,
I apologize, I should have been more clear. I'm currently working as a consultant in the process of an ECM initiative for a private corporation. I've got a library and information science background and have never worked in knowledge/content/records management before but have learned a great deal in the past few months through my experience, discussion lists such as this and other resources. I'm not interested in consulting firms contacting me, I am wondering about an ARMA-certified (or other authoritative RIM organizations) directory of approved vendors or consulting firms, if that indeed exists. I'm also curious in general how a mid-sized private corporation (diverse portfolio across industries) drafts a retention policy. Do they hire consultants or is it generally done in house? What if there isn't any records management staff?

Thank you so much for the answers received already and any future responses.
