The Maryland Chapter of the Special Libraries Association encourages you to "save the date for its 4th Job Search Workshop. The workshop will open for registration in the coming weeks.  This popular and successful Chapter event is targeted at all types of library and information professionals.

The 4th Job Search Workshop will feature:

*       Stephanie Callaway of SPARKS HR, for a discussion of tips on writing and adapting your resume and cover letter to get the job you want
*       Chris Olson, a Past-President of the SLA Maryland Chapter and current SLA Fellow, for a discussion on "personal branding," a key tool in promoting yourself in today's tough job market
*       Experienced librarians, to offer valuable insights on the qualities of good job candidates
*       Topically focused "hands-on" sessions throughout the day with the "career-stage" group of your choice

As an added bonus, participants will also be able to have a professional head shot photo taken by photographer Helen John (at an extra cost) at the conclusion of the workshop.  These head shots will be useful for job seekers interested in promoting themselves through websites such as LinkedIn and Facebook.
