William, the short answers to your questions:

1) A client-level hit on our conflict report will show all matters for that client, active or closed (in a condensed list, of course). Matter listings under the client-level hit will show on one line the following fields: Matter #, Matter Desc, Matter Status, Open Date, Closed Date and Billing Attorney. In addition, the client-level hit will include in its header the following information about the overall client: Last Worked, Last Billed, Outstanding $ A/R, $ Work in Progress, Total $ Billed (the firm's total investment in that client).

2) All information is contained in the one conflict report (which is a customized template we developed to our specs). The report template itself will pull the entire corporate family tree for the name searched out of the database, including any client-level hits on affiliated entities or individuals contained in the tree, so we do not need to supplement with any other reports. The only supplemental information we include for the attorneys with the standard report are a.) a summary from the Conflict Analyst who pre-read the report for the Requesting Attorney (a note outlining what he or she sees to be the problem hits in the report) and b.) the actual research sources showing the attorney where the Conflict Department found affiliates that were added to the search terms in case the attorney wants to know more about the affiliation.

In the event that you would like information about how you might further customize your firm's conflict report and/or if you're interested in recommendations for reputable vendors who can do the work at an attractive and economical price, please feel free to get in touch with me offline.

Best,
Kim
