These IT writers must be writing for an audience of morons. Can we still use that or is that politically incorrect. Would brain dead be more PC?

We read these articles from Gartner and Forrester and this guy and they write like they are unbiased but look who is paying the freight. To exhibit at Gartner they charge you $10,000 to $15,000 to $25,000 for a small display area at their show. And the more you pay, the more they promote you. They do this with articles that are very friendly to you. That is fine but when these consultants are representing themselves as experts with an unbiased viewpoint, is that right.

In one article they mention that privacy is the only problem. In another they mention that losing the information is the only problem. In another they speak to losing control of the data. If they are problems, they should mention all the problems in all the articles. But they are sugar coating it.

When you sit in a room with someone like Fred Moore and hear a presentation where he discloses the strengths and weaknesses of tape versus Cloud and then you look at the magazines you realize, we are being hustled.

The Cloud guys are frantic because the new LTO5 cartridges are so secure at much lower price, with drag and drop capability and accuracy that blows away the D2D2 model. But there is no money in talking about that when the big players want to sell Cloud no matter how flawed.

Corporations using the Cloud will have so much more exposure of their privacy data. Client lists, pricing models, secret formulas, Officer pay rates not to mention unethical stuff. The hackers haven't even really tried yet and Cloud is failing. Wait till enough data is in the Cloud to draw the Pros into the game.

C-Level officers will probably go to jail in the future for the pure negligence that trusting the Cloud will represent as people understand it. Signing these Agreements will look so stupid in Court. "Mr. CEO, did you understand that signing that Agreement gave the free use to not only store, but share and publish your information with your signed permission?"

Those articles are not in the IT Magazines. Who will alert the CEO's and CFO's??
