In today’s Texas Register, http://www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg/pdf/currview/0504is.pdf, the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) published notice of its intent to increase retention requirements for some correspondence received or created by Texas state agencies and local governments by 1 year, http://www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg/sos/tables-and-graphics/201201983-1.pdf.

More specifically, Administrative correspondence pertaining to formulation, planning, implementation, modification, or redefinition of policy and programs would increase from 3 to 4 years; and

General Correspondence pertaining to regular and routine operations would increase from 1 to 2 years.

For Local Governments, GR1000-26c Routine correspondence will remain AV.
