If you add the words..."regardless of the media"....it would be the same as 
governance of information.  Most of us, including the IT guys, understand 
that.  They just don't understand the value of adding criteria about the 
hoarding of paper because they still touchingly believe that it will be gone 
in the next decade in terms of business records.

So, again, the question.  Why don't we tighten up existing standards like 
COBIT, UTIL, and other commonly used frameworks shared by many groups within 
an organization that manage or audit risks instead of trying to re-invent 
the wheel?  Who, within ARMA, is enough of a qualified, certified governance 
professional able to create the kind of risk management framework that is 
needed?
